The Platform
What ART-IQ is, how it works, and what makes it different.
What is ART-IQ? +
ART-IQ is a quantitative intelligence system for the contemporary art market. We apply the same structural analysis frameworks used in alternative investment research to artist careers, collector acquisitions, and gallery strategy. It is not a gallery directory, auction house, artist database, or art advisor. It is an intelligence and scoring framework — one that measures the signals the market actually uses to price and position artists, whether they know it or not.
What is the ARS score? +
The Artist Readiness Score (ARS) is a nine-dimension weighted scoring model. Each dimension is scored 0–100 and marked as verified (ver.) or estimated (est.). The weighted composite produces a single score from 0 to 100, placing the career in one of five tiers: Prime Asset (85+), Momentum Phase (70–84), Foundation Building (50–69), Restructure First (30–49), or Pause & Rebuild (0–29).

The nine dimensions are: Visual Identity (12%), Institutional Signal & Press (15%), Relational Capital (15%), Digital Audience (10%), Primary Market Infrastructure (13%), Secondary Market & Price Analysis (15%), Monumental Scale Capacity (8%), Studio Stability & Discipline (7%), and Personal Base & Bandwidth (5%).
Does ART-IQ evaluate the quality of the artwork? +
No. ART-IQ evaluates the market's structural ability to read, reach, and price a career — not the aesthetic quality of the work. These are structurally different problems. A career with extraordinary work and poor infrastructure will score lower than a career with average work and strong infrastructure. The score is not a judgment of artistic merit. It is a diagnostic of market access.
What are the nine failure patterns? +
ART-IQ detects nine structural market patterns that predictably limit career trajectory. Each is flagged with evidence and comes with a specific corrective directive — not generic advice, a precise move:

P-01 Toxic Studio Inflation — overproduction destroying market urgency
P-02 The Malca Divergence — collector interest without institutional validation
P-03 Geographic Mispricing — international-quality work priced at local rates
P-04 The Narrative Void — technique strong, story invisible or generic
P-05 The Credential Trap — institutional CV, zero market liquidity
P-06 The Digital Ghost — physically present, digitally invisible
P-07 Price Ceiling Trap — price outpaced infrastructure, correction risk
P-08 Whisper Graph Activation — tier-1 convergence (this is a buy signal, not a risk)
P-09 Single Market Trap — demand concentrated in one geography
What is the Life Flag protocol? +
If the D9 Personal Base dimension falls below 25/100 — or if active personal crisis signals are present — all market recommendations are immediately suspended. The output reads: "LIFE FLAG ACTIVE: Before any strategic market move, the personal foundation needs attention. Everything else is secondary noise until this stabilizes."

No market architecture can be built on an unstable personal foundation. This protocol is absolute and overrides everything else in the framework.
How is ART-IQ different from other products? +
these are defensive tools — they answer "is this artist safe to buy?" using auction data for established artists. They produce market research reports. They are valuable for what they do.

ART-IQ is an offensive tool — it answers "what moves the needle?" for careers at all stages, including emerging artists with no auction history. The framework's value is the pattern detection, the predictive signals (Whisper Graph Activation, Institutional Friction Window, Cultural Velocity), and the specific action directives — not just the data lookup. other tells you what happened. ART-IQ tells you what to do about where things are going.
Is ART-IQ AI-generated? +
The free diagnostic tools use AI assistance (Google Gemini) to generate narrative analysis from your scored data. The structural scoring — the ARS formula, pattern detection, and dimension scoring — is algorithmic, not AI-generated. Full paid dossiers are produced with AI assistance and human analyst review. All AI-generated content is informational only. See the Disclaimer for full details.
For Artists
Questions about the free diagnostic, the full dossier, and what to do with the results.
Is the ARS diagnostic really free? +
Yes. The Artist DNA Matrix and ARS Diagnostic are free during the launch period. Standard access will be $99 when the launch period ends — we will not announce this in advance. The free diagnostic produces a real ARS score, active pattern diagnosis, and one executable action. It is not a teaser or a truncated version — it is a complete diagnostic from the same framework used in paid dossiers.
What if my score is low? +
A low score means the market currently cannot read or price your career effectively — not that your work is weak. The two are structurally different problems. The diagnostic tells you exactly which dimensions are pulling your score down and what the corrective directive is for each one. A score of 31 with a clear action plan is more useful than a score of 65 with no diagnosis. The score is the starting point, not the verdict.
What is the difference between the free diagnostic and the full dossier? +
The free diagnostic is self-reported and AI-analyzed — fast, directional, and based on your own data. It tells you where the structural gaps are and gives you one action to start.

The Full ARS Dossier ($99 launch price) is a verified research engagement. We research your career from external sources — galleries, auction data, press, digital footprint — verify each dimension against public data, and produce:

— A complete verified ARS scorecard (not self-reported)
— Active pattern diagnosis with specific evidence
— An 18-month phased action plan with named galleries, fairs, and platforms
— Collector-grade investment thesis and price scenario model
— Collector visibility matching — your profile surfaced to aligned buyers
— Collector-grade investment assessment of your career as an asset
What if I answer a question inaccurately? +
The system is designed for honest self-reporting, not optimistic self-presentation. If you inflate your validation tier or understate your production volume, the risk flags will be less accurate but the score will appear stronger. The person most harmed by inflated answers is the artist who receives a false read and makes market decisions based on it. The value of the diagnostic comes from accurate data.
Can I redo the diagnostic if my situation changes? +
Yes. Submit again at any time. We recommend rescanning after any significant career change — new gallery representation, a fair debut, a museum acquisition, a pricing restructure, or a significant change in personal circumstances that affects D9.
Will ART-IQ tell me which galleries to approach? +
The free diagnostic gives you the category of gallery to approach — it won't name specific galleries. The Full ARS Dossier names specific galleries and fairs aligned to your ARS profile, price point, visual DNA, and geographic position. That specificity is the core value of the paid product — and why it exists as a paid product rather than a free one.
I don't have gallery representation. Can I still use ART-IQ? +
Yes — and this is exactly the stage where the diagnostic is most useful. Unrepresented artists are the primary use case for the free diagnostic. The score will reflect the infrastructure gaps clearly, and the action directive will tell you the specific next move. ART-IQ does not require you to already have infrastructure — it diagnoses what's missing and tells you how to build it.
Is there a Spanish version? +
Yes. The Artist DNA Matrix, landing page, and artist sales page are fully available in Spanish at artiq.click/es/artistas-es.html. Spanish submissions are handled at informes@artiq.click. All outputs are in Spanish including the AI-generated analysis.
For Collectors
Questions about collector intelligence, acquisition dossiers, and how ART-IQ approaches the buyer side.
What collector intelligence products does ART-IQ offer? +
ART-IQ produces Collector Mode Dossiers (Format D) for buyers evaluating a specific acquisition. These include: arbitrage window assessment, recommended position structure, catalyst map with probability and price impact, hold and exit model, three-track price scenario modeling, and a risk register. Contact intelligence@artiq.click to commission one.
What is the Whisper Graph and why does it matter? +
The Whisper Graph is ART-IQ's most predictive single signal. It fires when multiple tier-1 actors — collectors, curators, gallery directors — from different geographies and different domains begin converging on the same artist within a 6-month window, without apparent coordination.

This pattern historically precedes price acceleration of 200–400% within 12–18 months. When the Whisper Graph activates, the entry window is open. It typically closes before the price correction is visible in public data. ART-IQ monitors for this convergence and alerts collector partners when it detects activation.
What is the Institutional Friction Window? +
The Institutional Friction Window is the gap between when private collectors begin acquiring an artist and when institutions formally validate that acquisition through museum shows, curatorial texts, or acquisitions. This gap is typically 18–36 months. Buying in the gap — after private collector validation but before institutional endorsement — is historically the highest-return entry point in an artist's career. The price jump at institutional validation is typically the largest single move. ART-IQ quantifies the size of this gap and its estimated duration for every dossier.
Does ART-IQ provide investment advice? +
No. ART-IQ outputs are informational only. Nothing in any ART-IQ dossier, score, or analysis constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or any form of regulated professional recommendation. We produce intelligence — the analysis of available structural signals — not advice about what to buy or sell. Always consult qualified specialists before making significant acquisition decisions. See the Disclaimer.
How does ART-IQ access collector clients? +
Collector and gallery intelligence products are available by introduction only. If you are a serious collector or advisor interested in commissioning intelligence, contact intelligence@artiq.click with a brief description of what you are working on.
What is the collector visibility match? +
When artists commission a Full ARS Dossier, their career profile is cross-referenced with ART-IQ's active collector database. If the artist's visual DNA, price point, geographic reach, and validation level align with a collector's acquisition profile, the artist's dossier is surfaced to that collector. This works in both directions — collectors with active acquisition mandates can request to be matched against the artist database for pre-institutional opportunities.
For Galleries & Advisors
Questions about roster intelligence, due diligence, and gallery-facing products.
What gallery intelligence products does ART-IQ offer? +
ART-IQ produces Gallerist Mode Dossiers (Format E) that include: due diligence summary, infrastructure assessment, fair potential analysis (which fairs now vs. 12–18 months), collector profile for the artist, pitch language usable with clients, and one priority action for the next 7 days. For ongoing relationships, we offer quarterly roster re-scoring with delta tracking.
What is a Fair Scanner? +
The Fair Scanner is a pre-fair intelligence brief that ranks emerging and early-momentum artists at a specific fair by their Malca Score — ART-IQ's collector-specific scoring model. It identifies the undervalued signal cluster (artists with the strongest price/trajectory mismatch), the overhyped zone (high visibility, weak fundamentals), and Whisper Graph candidates (early convergence from multiple geographies). Delivered before the fair opens. Available by commission.
Can ART-IQ score an artist we are considering representing? +
Yes. A full ARS dossier on any artist — whether your existing roster or a prospect — is available by commission. The Gallerist Mode output is specifically structured for gallery due diligence: it gives you the infrastructure assessment, the collector profile of who is already buying the work, fair potential mapping, and the pitch language to position the artist with serious collectors.
What is the Primary Defender Rating? +
The Primary Defender Rating answers the question every serious buyer asks: "Who is protecting the price floor if I need to exit?" It is a composite of gallery tier (35%), collector depth (25%), secondary market floor (25%), and institutional signal (15%), producing one of four ratings:

STRONG — Tier-1 gallery, multi-geography collectors, secondary floor established
MODERATE — Gallery present, floor exists but untested at auction
WEAK — Regional only, concentrated base, no secondary floor
UNESTABLISHED — No gallery, no market structure, no floor
How do we discuss a gallery intelligence partnership? +
Visit the Partnership page and fill the enquiry form, or email intelligence@artiq.click directly. Gallery partnerships typically begin with a pilot — one complete roster analysis — so both sides can evaluate the output quality before committing to an ongoing arrangement.
